Helstu atriði sem þarf að athuga varðandi muninn á nýja GTFS formattinu og það gamla:
1) Nú eru settar gæsalappir utan um mörg textasvið 
2) Röð dálka hefur breyst, og gæti breyst enn frekar. Notið header-línu til að ákvarða röðina
3) Bæst hafa við dálkar í sumum töflunum, t.d. "pickup_type". 
4) Nú er til staðar skráin calendar.txt í viðbót við calendar_dates.txt
5) Athugið að sum svið sem voru áður tölur eru nú strengir. t.d. "trip_id"
6) Áður var hægt að lesa úr sviði "service_id" í "trips.txt" hvaða daga vikunar ferð er ekin, en rétt aðferð til að ákvarða það er að nota skrárnar "calendar.txt" og "calendar_dates.txt"


Note that because of a migration to new planning software, the format of the GTFS files will change in the near future.

The main issues the should be considered regarding the differences between the old and new GTFS files:
1) Now many text fields are delimited by quotes 
2) The order of columns has changed and may change further. Please use the header lines to dermine column presence and order.
3) Some new columns have been added in some of the files, for example "pickup_type". 
4) Now the file "calendar.txt" is used in addition to "calendar_dates.txt"
5) Note that some fields that used to contain numeric vales now contain strings, for example "trip_id"
6) It was previously possible to deduce from the value of the field "service_id" in "trips.txt" in which week days a trip is in service, but correct method do that is to use the files "calendar.txt" and "calendar_dates.txt"
